We support a well-run town and real progress on housing. We do not support adding a tax on top of a mismanaged budget that doesn't solve the underlying issues.
Fiscal responsibility comes first
Town spending grew from $15.2 million in 2019 to $28.7 million in 2026 while the full-time population held near 1,639. A new tax on one group of owners does not slow that curve. A published, line-by-line review of the last ten years does.
See the mathVoters deserve transparency
Before anyone is asked for more, the Town should show what the money buys, what the tax actually raises, and how exemptions would work. When community members asked for answers, town council dismissed their concerns.
What we are asking forKeep the community united
Full-time residents, second homeowners, business owners, and volunteers all keep this town running. A tax written around who owns a home rather than who uses the town draws a line through neighbors who love the same place.
